1 - find some discarded setts and pavings, bring them home.

2 - wash the setts, let them dry, then engrave small messages and drawings or encase objects and coins.
in case you apply gold leaf, cover with 2 coats of resin to improve durability.

3 - prepare in advance:

-
worker gear - helmet, yellow vest
-
3 traffic cones
-
1 small pack of cement
-
2 bottles of water
-
1 empty bucket
-
1tools for masonry

4 - while walking on sidewalks, notice the spots where setts are missing.
5 - at 5:30 in the morning, dressed as a worker, carry the setts and the material to the desired spot.

6 - after installing the traffic cones and preparing the cement, put the sett into position and seal the empty perimeter with cement.

7 - it might happen that the police or whomever inquires of your activity and notices that it is de facto illegal. if that happens, since you carry too many tools to run, you should exercise the art of dialectic to invert the assumption that illegal urban art is an act of vandalism.
you might want to highlight the fact that by repairing the sidewalks you are helping the municipality to save money while contributing to the betterment of the public space
